Lehet, hogy érdemes lenne az elsö fokozat puffer kondenzátorára is felhúzni egy kisebb gyürüt?

The tubes arrived today (2 Pairs). I have not tested them yet as they sat outside for some time today and they are still cold.
Everything looks alright except that one tube of one pair has the wrong serial number marked on the box and on the data sheet. The box and data sheet are marked 623H and 614H. The tubes are actually marked 623H and 624H.
I am reporting this to you so that in case there is a warranty problem the difference in numbers has been noted. Thank you.

Binnen een week, na bestellen had ik ze al binnen, en prima verpakt.
Nu na zo'n 20 uur inspelen valt er natuurlijk nog niet zoveel over te
vertellen. Dit doe ik op de instellingen van een normale 300B op 75ma
en een anodespanning 450v. Daarna schakel ik over naar de geadviseerde
100ma en 500v.
Aan de geadviseerde 100uur inspelen zit ik zo omdat mijn versterker
een normaal gebruiksartikel is, die elke dag wel 8 tot 12uur via de radio staat te spelen.
Wat nu vooral opvalt, is het gemak, waarmee het geluid de boxen uitkomt.
Verder vind ik de buizen erg mooi gemaakt en heel redelijk geprijsd, zeker als
je het vergelijkt met KR buizen.
Hoe het zit met de levenduur is een kwestie van afwachten, ik hoop enige jaren te kunnen
genieten van deze top 300B's.

Is iets minder "luchtig" en doorzichtig dan de E88CC (Philips JAN 1986), maar speelt met meer kracht en body, beter laag en is iets "zwarter" wat betreft achtergrond. Zeer weinig ruis. Klinkt in sommige opzichten meer natuurgetrouw en gebalanceerd. Auricaps zijn zoals verwacht erg mooi.
Thank you for your quick dispatch, neatly and securely packed, also thanks for your suggestion: an alternative for E88CC: 6N1-P. Works not well in the first (voltage) stage of my hybrid power amp, but very good in my pre amp. The voltage in the power amp is lower (ca. 80V) than in my pre amp (130V). It is a bit less "airy" and transparant than the E88CC (Philips JAN 1986), but plays with more muscle and body, better lows and with a "darker" background. Very little hiss, sounds in some aspects more natural and balanced. Tha Auricaps are, as expected very beautiful.r | | | | | |

Yesterday, after 20 hours of burn-in, a serious sound was obtained with my amplifier, entirely designed by me. Today, I was playing to compare this amplifier with a good Push-Pull of my own design too, and differences was amazing.
This is massive linearity. Reality. Music. It sounded "big" (giant soundstage).

I am very impressed with 320B-xls.

The 300B-XLS look very nice, I see what you have done with the added mica at the top, good move.
The 45 I have to say surprised me, much has changed since the last version, the plates look different - a matte finish, the clips on top, the getter is different, but I think the filaments coming out visibly from the top of the plates is a very nice effect, I couldn't resist plugging it in for a minute - nice look. The tube really does clearly look significantly redesigned and quite a bit stronger build. Nice job, I'm glad I took 3 pairs.
I'll listen to them later, I have a feeling it's going to be good. Thanks for the great job.

Many thanks! The A-08 sounds SO much more powerful with the EMLs that a couple of folks have wondered whether the tubes might be too much for the amp's power supply.
At any rate, I will forward your responses to my concerned customer.
And I will continue to recommend the EML 45s as the "top tube" for this wonderful amp (I simply love this combination!).
Now, what we need, of course, are some good-quality, new-production 717As and type-80 rectifiers to keep Yamamoto owners from worrying too much. Do you think that any of the companies you work with might be interested in making such tubes?

I waited a week to let you know because it took me a while to make up the mains cables from your new shielded cable. Quite tricky to fit the cable into our plugs in New Zealand but well worth it. The 45s arrived in good shape about 10 days ago. I have put about 70 hours on them playing music. Initially the sound was not pleasant, irritating highs and one note bass, but after about 50 hours-as your instructions predict-the sound filled out and became quite interesting. Bass does still not have the best harmonic structure but this may well yet improve.
They are head and shoulders above the TJ mesh plates, not even the in the same league really. I certainly hope they will last in my Wavelength Venus and I will keep you posted either way. The adjustable hum level is .5mV which is the lowest I have recorded.

After several experiences I ended to obtain the best results, not with an anode resistor but with an inductance of 300 Henry - a choke. I used 120Volts in the plate,a catode resistor of 1,5K and 3,9Volts sharp, stablized, in the filament. In the power supply a Black Gate WKZ 500Volt 47+47mF, one for each valve. In terms of sound quality I can say it was the best pre-line tube I ever heard. And I experienced several - the 26, 27, 1G4, 1H4, 6SN7 and even the 2A3.
There is only a but: it is a little microphonic. But you have the solution - the Duende Criatura Tube Rings that I am ordering you 2 units. And I think they are the number 7 or 8 but please confirm. I also ask you another matched pair of this wonderful TFK RE-084. For your infomation what I have is the pair - 14-26. You can invoice me as soon as possible.

They look wonderful with their large mirror getter on the top of the tube. This GTB version from late 50' (probably 58 or 60) has black triangular plates. Nices boxes with cetificates. The sound is quite similar to my older version VT231 from 40'(very difficult to find, and expensive) with a better bandwith and more speed. Same three-dimensionnal soudstage with a lot of air, many details in the highs, and a better bottom end. Very fast sound, everything seems alive ! Excellent driver tubes in a single-end amplifier, especially for jazz and voices.

They work perfectly in my SE845 home made amplifier, with some differences in the sound : compared with the usual Sylvania, the GE gives more slamm and more presence in the medium, the bass are very tight, the soundstage rather "front". The RCA is sweet, with more air and details, and I prefer this one on vocals. The sounstage is more "back" with a better focus and a lot of "air".
